About James M. Cordes
Mr. Cordes received his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 2006, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2010. He is the Managing Editor of the Colorado Bar Association’s C.R.S. on Family Law (2024), was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2017 to 2024, a Super Lawyer in 2025, has a “Superb” rating from Avvo, and is a contributing author to the Colorado Lawyer and LawWeek Colorado.
Mr. Cordes sits on the Colorado Bar Association’s Family Law Section Executive Council, he is the President of the Metro Denver Interdisciplinary Committee, and is the past-President of the Colorado Collaborative Divorce Professionals.
